ANNA, a biopic on Anna Hazare is scheduled to release in 14th October with a star cast of Govind Namdeo and Rajit kapoor among others. Anna Hazare has been agitating for social causes for a long time. If it is not against illicit liquor then it is for farmer’s cause or some other social cause. But it was the agitation toward the end of UPA’s second term amidst economic turmoil and waning government credibility that Anna found his spot in the limelight.A part of the movie is shot in Ralegan Siddhi which is Anna Hazare’s reidence. The other major chunk focuses on his agitation against corruption that surfaced during UPA government.
