Vada Chennai Vadachennai is a Tamil movie direction by National award winning director Vettrimaran. The movie has Dhanush and Samantha in lead roles. Vada Chennai movie story revolves around a fisherman in North Chennai, who unwittingly falls into the trap of a mafia gang. Vetri Maaran and Dhanush were supposed to begin work on Soodhadi in March 2014. But Dhanush had busy with some other projects. Later director took up Visarani, which has Dinesh and Kayal fame Anandhi in the lead. Initially Simbu signed for Vada Chennai movie and he opted out from the project.
